Front Door Paint Colour

Do you want to stand out in the crowd, or add subtle style to your street? Your front door paint colour says a lot about you, your home and your personality. So what will your door say about you?

Pantone’s Colour of the year, Ultra Violet, has ruffled things up with colour this year, and this is even extending to our front doors! Although traditional colours are still popular, there has been a new trend veering towards bolder colours such as blues, greens and purples!

We have picked out our top colour choices for this year… tell us, which is your favourite??

PURPLE reflections

We did say Pantone’s colour of the year 2018 had a strong influence on this years trends, and here you have it… purple is making it’s way to being one of the more popular trends for front doors this year! We love the contrast of this purple reflection from Truedor against the ivy… it also compliments the lavender flowers… LOVE!

TRUEDOR

Red earth

Farrow & Ball’s Red Earth… yes please!! We love the mix of colours in this… red, brown, pink, even an undertone of yellow! This has a real earthy feel to it… we can feel the warmth radiating from this colour!

FARROW & BALL

Ivy Green

Green is a definite new trend throughout your household this year,  as we saw in our latest kitchen blog. We love Fleetwood’s ivy green for your front door, and we love that it reaches to the windows too! This green pairs so nice with this cute white cottage.

FLEETWOOD

Studio Green

For those who are staying away from bold colours, this dark green still makes a statement. This is the darkest green offered by Fallow & Ball. Although this colour has been available for some time, in fact, it was the colour used on Farrow & Ball’s first studio, we feel this is a timeless colour that will never lose it’s appeal.

FARROW & BALL

COBALT BLUE

This colour may not be for everyone, but we are massive fans of it. It is vibrant and daring, and is an exciting new take on the traditional navy door. We think it is stunning… DO YOU DARE?

GETTY

spring pebble

Although the trend is moving towards bolder colours, there is still a lot to be said for the more neutral and traditional colours. We love this grey from Fleetwood… we even love the name! This is the perfect option for those looking for a subtle, yet stylish new look!

I’m now retired and enjoying doing jobs around the house. HighTower made the task of painting the living room and kitchen a lot easier and at my age, made me feel safer up the ladder.

John Byrne

Wasn’t sure what to expect from the HighTower before using it but now having used it on a couple of jobs I couldn’t see myself without it. With less climbing up and down the ladder when cutting in the ceilings, HighTower definitely reduces the time spent painting.

Myself and my team have been using the HighTower Tripod System for the last few weeks. Very impressive bit of gear. Safe, sturdy and invaluable when cutting in ceilings on a step ladder or standing painting doors.
